These terms cover the free preview and the Fresh Eyes website service, in plain English. “We” means Byron Leppan, a sole proprietor trading as Fresh Eyes in South Africa. “You” means the business we build for.

1. The free preview

The preview is free and you’re under no obligation to take it. We build it from information already published on your website, Google listing or social pages, and anything you send us. It’s private: we share it with you by link, it’s clearly marked as a preview, and search engines are told not to list it. If you don’t take it, we delete it 30 days after we send it.

2. The service

The service costs R599 a month, or R5,990 for a year paid upfront. There’s no setup fee and no design fee. It includes:

  • Your website, hosted, secured and kept up to date.
  • Registration of one .co.za domain in your business’s name, if you don’t already have one.
  • Small changes when you need them: hours, prices, text, photos and contact details, sent to us on WhatsApp and done within two working days.
  • Tidying your Google Business Profile, once you add us as a manager.
  • A short monthly report on how often the call and WhatsApp buttons on your site were tapped.

Bigger changes, such as new pages, new sections or a redesign, we quote for first. You only pay what you agree to.

3. Paying

When you say yes to your new site, we send your first invoice. Your site goes live once it’s paid, and your first month starts on the day it goes live. We invoice monthly in advance, or yearly if you choose the annual price. Please pay by EFT within seven days, using the reference on the invoice. If a payment is more than 14 days late, we’ll remind you on WhatsApp, and after that we may take the site offline until it’s paid.

4. Cancelling

There’s no fixed term. You can cancel at any time by giving us one month’s notice on WhatsApp. If you paid for a year, we refund the full months left after your notice ends.

5. What’s yours

Your business name, logo, words, photos and domain stay yours. While you’re a customer, you have the right to use the site we built for you. If you leave, we send you your text and photos and help you move your domain wherever you like. The site’s design and code stay ours.

6. Your content

You confirm that you have the right to use the words, photos and logos you give us or that appear on your current site. If you ask us to remove anything, we will.

7. Our responsibility

We keep your site running and fix problems quickly, but we can’t promise it will never be unavailable, and we don’t promise search rankings, calls or sales. As far as the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the problem. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.

8. Changes to these terms or our prices

We’ll give you at least one month’s notice on WhatsApp before any change affects you. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before it takes effect.
